Summer Update Finally!

I finally ended up loading our pictures onto Ben's computer so that I could get these pics on here... There are a TON of them! I have a horrible memory so I've decided I need to keep this up to date so that I can remember what we do. So here is our fun and busy summer from most recent to oldest:
I went to check on Hunter before I went to sleep a few weeks ago and this is how I found him, there are clothes, toys, and even some books underneath him!
Hunter loved riding with Ben moving these boulders, he rode with him for a few hours and still wanted to ride more!

We all went to my mom's for my dad's birthday and she gave huge pieces to everyone, including Talee and Hunter. The older kids ended up going to the park by my mom's and left their unfinished pieces at her house... I think Talee and Hunter really liked them leaving them, they were out there tasting all of them!
Here is after Trick or Treating, Hunter's face paint was all over his hands and sleeves.

Dad and Hunter devil's.

Me as a Devil.

Carving pumpkins, we had to do quick designs cuz we did them right before we went trick or treating.

Hunter helping dad carve his pumpkin, it took him a while before we could get him to try to get the seeds out, and when he finally did he said eww and flipped seeds everywhere, funny boy!

We went camping and fishing, and the only thing we caught was a crawdad.

Eating breakfast of poptarts while fishing!

Taking Tyler to the MTC, he is now in Nicaragua!

We finally took Hunter to Toquerville falls, we used to go all the time and we haven't been since we had Hunter. He loved it! This pic he was standing on the rock forever and hardly moving, it took us a while to figure out what he was doing, but it was barely moving so he was wobbling it back and forth and we think he was scared to get of it or something, it was pretty funny!

The fam at the bottom of the falls, Hunter fell asleep on the way home even though the ride was pretty bumpy!

Sitting in a waterfall.

Taller than mom and dad, Yay!

After eating his birthday cake, "Cheese!"

Trying to blow out the candles by waving his hand. He loved his Lightning Mcqueen cake! It was pretty fun to make too, I used my entire bottle of red dye and in person the icing still didn't look that red!

His new bike! He loves it, it took him a couple months but he can pettle now!

My new "hat!" He wears it around the house all the time too!

He liked unwrapping things this year, so fun!

Playing with balloons, waiting for dad to get home so he could open the presents.

The Washington County Fair, Hunter loved the rides! Especially the cars the went fast! There were a couple of the rides that he would not get off, he wouldn't even follow his cousins off he wanted to ride more!
This one went up in the air too. When the ride stopped Logan (Hunter's cousin sitting in the back) jumped right out, apparently his belt wasn't tight enough to hold him in. SCARY!!

Riding the carousel with dad!

Playing in the rainy whether in Alton for Grandpa Crosby's birthday!

Talee and Hunter playing basketball! Or just throwing the balls to see them splash!

This boy LOVES corn!!

Geting candy at Toquerville's 24th of July parade!

Moving up to a toddler bed! We also took the binki away a couple weeks after this, it's weird to see him with one since it's been so long since we took it away.

Trying to play an arcade game, on tippy toes!

Playing at Grandma and Grandpa's in Kanab!

Playing with Ben's coworkers daughter at Sand Hollow. They were so funny together, they kept throwing mud on each other, and Hunter would show off and jump in the water and wait for her to follow his lead!
He wouldn't stop laying in the water even though the waves pretty much covered him!

We had a lot of this over the summer, he went through a faze where he would not leave his diaper on! Don't worry that's drool!

So cool with his sunglasses (or eyes as he calls them) and building his block towers!

Playing at the cabin in Delta. He was collecting rolly pollies (I think some people call them potato bugs) in this bucket.
Hunter's first ride on a tube, he didn't have much of a reaction.

This is how they started out, you could barely see Hunter!
This is the slide right off the sandy area, it's not really connected so it kept wobbling everywhere but he still liked it!

Ben's uncle has a couple dogs that he brings with him every year. Luckily they are good with kids cuz Hunter would not leave them alone!

Hunter decided to try to copy Brylee and climb the pole... He ended up looking more like a pole dancer! It was pretty funny!

Us trying to get him to take a nap in our tent that was next to the cabin. I think this is where he figured out how to climb out of his porta crib! He was being very wild but so funny I couldn't help but laugh and take pics!

We go to Delta's 4th of July demolition derby every year. This year they had 2 cars painted like Lightning Mcqueen! Hunter loved it! the other one was painted like the regular red Mcqueen but I didn't get a good pic of it. They were also in the parade since they were some of the best painted. Hunter tried to chase after them when they went by in the parade!

He thought he was pretty cool with his backpack on! He had all our stuff in it, water bottle, sunscreen, etc., but he still wanted it on. After a while he had us carry it for him.

The Ewell family at the parade.
We went camping to Fish Lake with my family and Hunter caught his 1st fish! It was even on his Lightning Mcqueen pole! Yes I know I go a little overboard with all the Cars stuff but he LOVES it! Wait til my Christmas pics...

He got into mom's hair stuff, I use barely a finger tip amount of this stuff to tame my fly aways.

I think he used a few handfuls of it!

Playing in the leaks from our hose while dad was trying to wash the Jeep.

Trying to help wash the Jeep before he got too interested in playing in the water!

Baby #2

So I kept on meaning to post a picture of my baby bump on here to announce that I'm pregnant to anyone who may not know, but my computer has been so slow lately that I couldn't get it to load (I'm amazed I finally got these pics to load.) So for those of you who don't know we are expecting baby #2! So far everything has been going good, I've felt a little bit sicker than I did with Hunter (easy to beat though I only threw up twice with him) and definitely more tired since I'm also chasing Hunter around. We also had to change doctors, the one I had with Hunter is going on a mission so they gave me some recommendations for a new doctor and we started over. Pregnancy hormones didn't do so good when my doctors office told me that news, I cried and it took me several weeks to finally get over it and call the new doctors office. My doctor with Hunter was not just a baby doctor he was a family doctor too so he was mine and Hunter's doctor. The new doctor is just a pregnancy doctor, but I will still be taking the baby to my original doctors son, so at least that won't have to change too. The new doctors office has done things a little different which for those of you who know me I hate doctors, I get very panicked every time I go, so it's been frustrating but getting better. I'm almost 20 weeks so half way there, so I'm getting used to the changes finally. We had our ultrasound on Wednesday so here's what happened with that:

So we ended up taking the wrong kind of disc to our ultrasound and didn't want to pay $5 for one so we ended up just getting the pictures and then scanned them into our computer, but for some reason it wouldn't let me load the scanned pictures on here, so I had to take pictures of the pictures to get them on here so they aren't very clear sorry!
Everything went really good the baby is healthy and is measuring about 3 days further along so my due date is probably more like April 8th rather than the 11th, but she said that it was showing that way because the baby has long legs, she said that the legs were measuring a little over 20 weeks and the rest of the body was about what it should be. She said that it just means the baby will probably be tall is all and that they only worry if the legs are short. Also my placenta is in the front of my belly so she said I probably wouldn't feel the kicks as much as I did with Hunter. I have definitely noticed some differences with how it feels... and I always thought that Hunter was pretty low in my belly but this one is even lower. The whole time she was doing the ultrasound she was right at the bottom of my belly, a lot of the time below or right by my belly button, and when the baby kicks it so low that it would be pretty embarrassing to have anyone try to feel it.
I'm sure that most of you are waiting for the most important answer... are we having a boy or a girl? And the answer is.......

We decided not to find out, we probably could have seen baby wasn't shy but we decided to wait and be surprised this time. We have heard from several people that it's really fun but with Hunter we both really really wanted a boy so we figured we better find out so we wouldn't be disappointed. This time we both would rather another boy but don't care too much so we figured we would try the surprise approach and see how we like it. It's kind of exciting!

Well here are our first pics of our new little baby:

My funny boy

So I know it has been a way long time since I've posted... I kept on getting overwhelmed by how much we have had going on, then I finally sat down and was going to get caught up on my posting... And of course my computer is just getting too worn out and wouldn't let me load the pictures so I gave up and looked at everyone elses blogs instead. So as soon as I can figure out how to get the pictures to load on my super slow computer I will get caught up, but for know I just had to tell a funny story about Hunter:
So lately he has been imitating everything, of course, he's at that stage and it's super cute. The funniest though is that it's not always the words, a lot of the time he will imitate noises... for example I will go to him and ask him for a kiss, then I will pucker my lips and make kissing noises and he will look at me and say "No mwah, mwah." and run away. I think it is so funny that instead of coping the words he copies the sounds, tonight was the best though. He for some reason will NOT leave his night light alone. We have one in his room and one in the hallway for his chicken mom, and almost every night he will pull his out and whine and cry til we open the door, then he will bolt out of the door as fast as he can so he can trade night lights. They are the exact same... It gets really old and he has broken the outside case part on both of them to where it can fall off pretty easy, and he has also broken 2 light bulbs by trying to unscrew them he ends up pulling them out to where strings are still dangling from the night light but the bulb is hanging off the side and of course not working anymore. I have told him every single night that he needs to stop playing with them cuz he's going to get hurt, and I kind of think he may have gotten shocked one night cuz when I went in he was saying ow and pointing at the night light. He still will not leave it alone. So tonight when I go to check on him he at first tried to bolt out of the door to switch them but I blocked him (I'm getting pretty good at that) and put that one back in and got him tucked back into bed. A little while later I heard him up playing again so I went to check on him and this time he had the bulb unscrewed from the night light (not broken this time) so I found all the pieces and put it back together and got him tucked in bed again. While he's laying there he leans up looks at me and says "urp, urp, urp" and twists his fingers. At first I didn't get it then he pointed at the night light and did it again, it registered and I said "Yep, you untwisted the light bulb" he said "Uh huh" and laid down, then I again reminded him he shouldn't play with it cuz it could hurt him then left. I barely made it to the living room where Ben and I were watching TV before I busted up laughing. I thought it was SO funny! And once I got what his urp, urp meant it was actually a pretty good imitation of the sound light bulbs make when you unscrew them! What a funny boy!

Bahamas! (Sorry, picture overload!)

So since my last post Kira has graduated from high school and gone on her senior trip... Which we ended up going on with her! We went on a cruise to the Bahamas and had tons of fun! Brandi, Mike, Aunt Shawna, and our friends Danielle and Jesse went on the trip too, along with several other people and graduates from Kanab. We just got back on Thursday! Hunter stayed with Ben's parents for the 1st 3 days that we were gone, then stayed with my parents the last 3 days. They both said that he did really good so that was a relief! We didn't hear that he did good until we got back cuz we weren't about to pay international fees to use our cellphones! I did turn mine on every night just in case there was a problem just so you don't think I totally forgot about Hunter while we were gone. Well here are tons of pics from the cruise:

Our first night in Orlando we stayed in a hotel, outside our hotel were 2 ponds. We thought this sign was kind of funny since my mom had called the night before while we were flying to Florida and told me to watch out for alligators, and then there was a warning about it right on our hotels property!

This is us in front of the pond, it had a cute little deck that went out over the water.

While we were looking at the fish in the water this turtle swam by and all the fish kept following him. He kept sinking down a little bit then swimming back up, we caught a glimpse of his belling and it was bright orange! He also had a pointy nose, considering I've only seen desert turtles and pet store turtles I thought he was pretty cool looking! We also saw tons of different birds around our hotel.

Here we are when we first got on our ship, behind the whale tail there was a splash pad, two water slides, and a hydra tube. They were always packed with people so we only went down the tube once. We also got in the pool once, and while we were in it noticed the people next to us pretty much going at it... disgusting! If you have ever been in a cruise you probably know that the pools are always packed with people, there were some little kids right next to them too. We went to the marriage show and the newlyweds that were on stage admitted to also doing that in the pool, so we didn't ever get in the pool again!

Our first night there they had this laser tag set up. It was pretty much just a big bounce house, which made it really hard to run around in there. I kept falling over, it was still fun though and we were all only 300 points apart from each other. (Left to right: Danielle, me, Jesse, Ben)
The first port we went to was Freeport. We signed up for a fishing excursion. Here is Danielle's first fish, she caught 3!

Ben's fish, it's called a grunt.

So nobody on the ship had been catching anything for a little bit, so the guys running the boat asked if anyone had brought any bananas. We thought it was really weird that they were asking that, so they went on to explain that there is an old superstition that bananas are bad luck when fishing. Jesse had brought bananas on board in case they needed a snack. It was really funny cuz right after they told us about that and we told them that he had brought bananas, he was the very next one to catch a fish.

Here is my fish with it's bait still hanging out of it's mouth, they used squid. In the end Danielle had caught 3, Ben, Jesse, and me all only caught 1. Me and Ben had eaten bananas at breakfast and Jesse had brought some on board, so I guess maybe there is some truth to the banana myth since Danielle hadn't had anything to do with bananas!

This was one of the other people on the excursion, this fish was so weird! It was a sucker fish, but not like the ones at the pet store, this ones suction was on the top of it's head! One of the guys running the boat put the fish upside down on the side of the boat and had the girls husband try to pull the fish off. He couldn't budge it, they had to pry it off with a knife!

Here we are on our formal night.

We wanted a picture of us girls on formal night, but Kira forgot and by the time we found her she had already changed, but here are us girls!

The 2nd day we ported at Nassau, we signed up for a snorkeling excursion that day. We rode on a catamaran to get the snorkeling sight. It was awesome to see the water below you on this net! We had a blast snorkeling, Ben and Jesse found tons of conch shells and a starfish too! They only let you keep the shells if they were pretty big they said that smaller ones were just babies. Jesse had found a big enough one, so they popped the conch out of the shell and cleaned it up for him. Apparently they like to eat conch out there... raw... so they cut it up rinsed it off in the ocean and everybody got to eat it right then and there. Ben said it wasn't too bad, but there was no way I was going to eat something that had been alive 2 seconds ago and hadn't even been cooked!

Here is one of the smaller shells that they had found, which we took on board cuz they said they didn't see anything in it so we could take it too. Later in our room this crab decided to stop hiding! Jesse said he had known there was something in it all along, but since it wasn't a conch Ben ended up throwing it back overboard the next day. I was worried when I woke up to go to the bathroom in the night that it was going to crawl away and I was going to step on it, it never moved though.

After snorkeling we ended up renting some scooters and drove around the island, we went and found a beach, where Jesse knocked a coconut off a tree, it broke open so he drank the milk out of it. I think the locals thought we were pretty amusing since me and Danielle were worried the whole time that we were going to get in trouble and kept trying to get the boys back on the scooters. We also got to drive up to the Atlantis resort, that's where we are in the pic you can see a water fountain behind us. For those of you who don't know the Atlantis resort is where Holiday in the Sun (a Mary Kate and Ashley movie) was filmed, which was part of the reason they choice that cruise to go on.

I always have to put pics of Hunter cuz he is just too cute. Two weeks before the cruise we took Hunter fishing to Panguitch lake. None of us caught a thing! It was a bummer I really wanted him to get to see a fish, but I think he still had fun. We got him a Lightning McQueen fishing pole that he played with for quite a while!

I don't have a clue what he was doing, but thought he was pulling a way funny face so had to take a picture!

I LOVE his smile!! There were tons of bugs everywhere while we were fishing. In all these pics you can see black spots in the sky, and that thing on Hunters eyebrow is a bug too! It was so gross! I staying in my sweatshirt with hood snug the whole time! Hunter didn't even seem to hardly notice!

He's so funny, he was sitting there feeding Ben jerky for quite a while! This pic you can see the most bugs, there are tons in the sky.

Well all in all it's been a pretty fun couple of weeks! We are definitely happy to be home and get to be with Hunter again! It was a nice break, but I think we will wait quite a while before we leave him for that long again!

What Women Want Expo

This weekend all the Ewell girls (Chelsee is pretty much an Ewell girl) went to the What Women Want Expo in St. George. It was SO much fun!! We all found several really cute things, most of us ended up getting a hat and several of them got a bunch of jewelry. We also got tons of free stuff! It was awesome! We all ended up getting a colored hair extension put in and got glittery eyeliner on. I'm glad I waited to get my eyeliner done til the end of the day cuz it drove me crazy but it was fun anyways! Here our some pics of the day:

From left to right: Joslyn (red extension and goldish-pink eyeliner), Chelsee (blue extension and green eyeliner), Sheena (3 pink extensions and bronze eyeliner), Dixie (burgundy extension and dark blue eyeliner) and me (red extension and light blue eyeliner)

I picked this color cuz it looked pretty light in the jar and it looked like it had a little bit of green with the blue flecks, so I thought it would match the green of my shirt and the blue of my eyes... when she mixed it up it got WAY brighter! Mine ended up being the brightest of everyones and I was the one who really didn't necessarily want the eyeliner. So for those of you who don't know, I HATE glitter! I still haven't been able to get it all off a day later, I keep finding a couple stragglers that just won't come off! I've washed my face 3 times and scrubbed it with a rag! I think glitter is really pretty but I just hate how it gets stuck everywhere, I couldn't be the only one without glittery eyes when we went to dinner though.

So I have had red highlights in my hair before but never this red! I kind of like it though. When we were first getting them put in I thought it was just like a clip in one that you could take in and out as you wanted, but found out while getting it in that it's an actual extension so unless I go at it with pliers it's going to be there for a while! The best part is that I finally got blond highlights put back in my hair on Wednesday so I'm sure most people that see me are going to think I dyed the red streak since all the blond is new too!

Hunter is obsessed with watching Cars lately, so her he is with dad watching the movie. So cute! Yes he is in his PJ's this was right after breakfast today, and of course he already had shoes on!

You can't lay down anywhere near Hunter without him eventually climbing on you! Even if he's still watching the movie!
