Anniversaries

So someone asked us what Temples we had gone to for our anniversaries and it took both of us some thinking to finally tell them the whole list. So I figured even though I can't find the pics right now I will at least write them all down so we can remember them!

1st anniversary was the Las Vegas Temple
2nd anniversary was the Jordan River Temple
3rd anniversary was the Idaho Falls Temple
4th anniversary was the Oquirrh Mountain Temple
5th anniversary was the Draper Temple
6th anniversary was the Manti Temple

We have also been to the St. George (of course), Salt Lake, and Mesa Temples together. Ben has also been to the Provo temple and I'm pretty sure he has seen the Hawaii temple when he went on vacation there right a few months after his mission. We both love to go and visit the new temples and get to see how beautiful they are! Hopefully some day we will get to venture to ones further away but for now we are just lucky there are so many close by so that we have been able to keep our tradition going!
We never get each other anything for our anniversary or for Valentine's Day, but this year I got some really pretty flowers from Ben for Valentine's Day! This is only his 3rd time getting me flowers! The first time was my first birthday after we got married, the second time was our 3rd anniversary cuz he was in Montana on the actual day so he had his friend bring some to my work. And then he did this year and as far as I know it was for no certain reason at all! How I got them was too funny not to tell everyone. I happened to have the 14th off, so I was just laying on the bed reading my book when Ben got home from work at 3:30. I heard the garage open then heard thump, thump, thump, and of course was wondering what in the world he was doing, he knows Hunter is napping at this time. Then I hear Hunter's door fly open and the thumping continued as Hunter ran through the house to find Ben. The thumping had been Hunter running from his bed! He was so excited to see his dad that somehow the garage opening woke him up! I had told him we were going to go swimming when he woke up from his nap so I guess he was just too excited to go! Hunter gets to Ben and I hear Ben tell him to bring me something. Hunter comes running in my room and throws a dozen roses at me! (They were still in the plastic wrap so they stayed together.) It was so funny and unexpected! Ben must have been paying attention when we went to get flowers for his brothers girlfriend (the brother on a mission, it was so fun getting to take flowers to her!) cuz he got ones just like the ones I had said I loved when we were picking some out for her! He claims he doesn't know what I'm talking about though.

We went out to eat, and then went swimming at the community center that night. It was so fun! And Ben even took Hunter down the big hydratube. I was in changing into my clothes so we could go home and didn't even know they had opened the tube cuz it hadn't been running when we got there. I wish I would have known so I could take a pic when they came out, but knowing me I would have told Ben not to take Hunter on it if I had known. I get really stressed out about Hunter not being big enough yet, but Ben said he loved it and kept asking for more so I'm glad he took him!

Bed Rest

I guess the word is out... yep I'm on bed rest :( It all started on our anniversary weekend, which is Feb 12th. We have been married for 6 years now!! It's crazy how time flies! I had planned on doing a cute post showing pictures of all the different temples we have gone to for our anniversaries (our tradition is to go to a new one for each anniversary), but since I got put on bed rest I can't really go searching for all those pics anymore. Anyways we went up to Manti for our anniversary, we have both seen the outside of the temple but not the inside so we figured we could still count it as a new one. Kira is going to college at Snow, so like 5-10 min away so we got to go visit her and see her apartment and everything. Friday we went to dinner and a movie up there, then planned on going to the temple Saturday morning and heading home. Well when we woke up Saturday I was feeling really funny and was kind of shaky. I took a shower I started getting ready thinking it was just cause I hadn't eaten yet. But I still didn't feel right even after eating. Also every time I bent over I would get a sharp pain in my head. So we ended up not going in the temple, we just walked around the outside and took some pics then headed home. Even just the little walk around the temple had me pretty winded. I already had my regular doctor appt set for Wednesday so I figured I would just take it easy til then and hope it went away. It didn't. Wednesday came around and I was getting ready for the appt (having to sit down in between shower, blow drying hair, etc.) and my sister called and one of her kids was throwing up so I decided I would rather not risk getting Hunter sick so made some calls and couldn't get ahold of anyone to watch Hunter. So I called the doctors office and rescheduled for the next Wednesday, then asked about the head pains I was getting. The nurse told me that no matter what time I ended up being able to come I needed to be seen that day and they would just work me in whenever I could find a babysitter.
If that doesn't put you in a panic I don't know what does! Luckily just a few minutes after that my sister in law called me back and let me bring Hunter right over. (Thanks so much!) I headed over and was actually only about 20 min after my scheduled time! On my way over my friend that had told me to go to this doctor called and said that she was being started the next day cuz her blood pressure was a little high and I think also that the baby wasn't growing as much which had happened with her first. She also said that she had been getting headaches because of the blood pressure. I new right then that that was probably what was going on with me and I was probably going on bed rest.
I had barely had time to sit down before they called me back for my appointment, I hadn't even had time to calm my huffing and puffing from going up the stairs to their office! They checked my blood pressure and it was 151 over 114. The nurse looked dumb founded when she looked at the monitor and she stared at it for a minute before she finally wrote the numbers down. I think she couldn't believe it was that high. She then said wow your blood pressure is really high! Then walks me back to a room and my doctor happened to be about to walk in a room and saw us coming so to be nice said how are you. I of course just say I'm fine and his nurse looks at him shoves my chart at him and says except for really high blood pressure. He just looked at it and said ya that is a little high but didn't really seem all the concerned. Then we round the corner and there is his nurse practitioner and several other workers and they all stare at me as I walk by like I'm about to drop dead any minute. After asking me a whole bunch of extra questions they have me lay down on the bed til the doctor came in and took my blood pressure again. It had gone down some from laying so that was good, but just to make sure nothing else was going on he had me get more blood work done right after my appt (which all came back good) and then I had to come back the next day for an ultrasound (the baby was still growing good and by the measurements are guessing that it weighed about 5 1/2 lbs) and also had to get some steroid shots to help the babies lungs develop in case we have to deliver early. They had to do 2 shots 24 hours apart and I got the first on Thursday after my ultrasound. When I went in on Friday thinking I was just getting the shot and then going home, his nurse checked my blood pressure 3 times (once on her machine, then once manually, and once again after she had me lay down for a little bit.) It was still kind of high so she called the doctor and he had me go over to labor and delivery to be monitored.
Again totally panicked me. She didn't tell me why I was going over there really she just came back in the room from calling the doctor and said he wanted me to go to labor and delivery and she would walk me over there (there building is connected to the hospital) so she picked up my purse and started walking. Well by this time it was like 3:00 and I knew Ben was leaving to go on a scout camp out sometime between 3:00 and 3:30, so I panicked and called him before I even really knew why I was there and I'm sure I panicked him too. It turned out they just had me sit on the monitors for about an hour and a half and my blood pressure kept going down so they sent me home to be on bed rest again. My friend who is due a week before me happened to text me to see how I was doing right after I hung up with Ben and she happened to be a couple blocks away so she came and sat with me for most of the time I was there, then right as she was needing to leave my sister showed up to be with me. So I never had to be alone which was exactly we I had panicked and called Ben.
So after all of that craziness, I am on bed rest. And by bed rest they mean bed rest, they want me laying down as much as I possibly can, not sitting up, and not laying on my back. Can I just tell you it was very interesting to type while lying on my side, I've have flopped back and forth like 10 times while typing this. And your back sure starts hurting after so much time on your sides! I ended up getting sick with a cold over the weekend, so the first several days all I wanted to do was lay down so those days were pretty easy! I'm still a little stuffy but feeling a lot better to where I start doing something sitting up and then remember and lay back down. I still do feel the effects of the high blood pressure if I do too much, so it really hasn't been too bad being stuck laying down.
They are having me start my one week appts now, so I saw the doctor again on this Wednesday and my blood pressure seems to be staying stable enough to keep up with the bed rest, so he is hoping we will be able to go 4 more weeks before having the baby, so that hopefully we won't have to visit the NICU at all. Since everyone has been asking me, I don't have toxemia, just high blood pressure. The high blood pressure could cause things like the placenta separating, my blood not clotting right, and stuff like that, which would all result in loosing the baby, so I am trying really hard to stay laying down even when I'm feeling just fine! So far it has been working pretty good, Hunter and me just watch lots of movies in the morning and then Ben is home before Hunter wakes up from his nap. So we are doing pretty good, I just feel bad for Ben. I don't know how well I would take it if I was doing everything around the house while he just laid around. :) He hasn't ever complained and he has been really good about trying to keep the house picked up all the time... So if anyway is needing help around the house just tell your husband you are on bed rest ;) Just kidding! It has just made me love him that much more, he hasn't ever said a word about any of it, he's even been really nice about the things he knows I'm picky about he will ask how I do it. Whenever Ben and Hunter would be going anywhere at first Hunter would tell me to go get my shoes on, know he just knows that mom is "sleeping." Although I can't really sleep, the times that I have fallen asleep he jumps on me and says "doing mom?" It's so cute. He has also gotten really snuggly and kissy with me lately which I will take all that I can get! Oh and we still don't know what we are having, she only really measured the head and the tummy when I got my ultrasound, I never even saw the legs. I think that's all the questions people have asked us... Thanks so much to all of you who have called or come by we really do appreciate it!!

My Reason for #2

Hunter is all better finally, he ended up waking up with a cough last Sunday so on Monday I took him to the doctor and it turned out the he had an ear infection. He thought that it may have started out as a viral infection and then turned into the ear infection based on his symptoms. So he got put on an antibiotic and is now just fine!
Yesterday I took him to the park and he had a great time! He went down each slide, the big kid and little kid ones several times. Had to try out all 4 swings and both of the backhoe things. Then had to go run back and forth across the bridge a bunch of times. A family from our ward came after a while and their kids (2 boys) are 4 and the younger one will be 2 in April. So Hunter is right between them in age. They also brought their little dog with them and Hunter chased the poor thing for like 15 min straight. The dog was smart enough to stay out of arms reach the whole time even though Hunter was right behind it everywhere it went. I finally got him convinced to go back and play on the toys again, and of course later he continued his pursuit of the dog. When he finally started playing again it was just too cute. The other 2 boys were going down the slides and so Hunter joined them. And the older boy just ignored him and the younger boy pretty much did too but more just cuz he's younger and oblivious, the older boy was ignoring Hunter cuz he was younger and not his brother. Hunter kept on following them around and would love every time they laughed. At one point the older brother had his younger brother on his lap going down the slide and his mom wanted a picture so Hunter went and joined them right behind the older brother. I think he was oblivious to the fact that he wasn't really apart of what was going on but he just kept following around like he was.... My lovely pregnancy emotions I about started crying. I thought it was so sad to see him wanting to play with someone so much that he would just follow them around everywhere. He was so sweet just wanting to be playing with everyone else but it was really hard for me to watch him wanting so much to be apart of their fun and being ignored. Even though he didn't seem to notice he was ignored it still hurt me to watch. For a little bit I was thinking I was such a crappy mom for taking him to the park without a friend. Later I calmed down and realized that even if he didn't have a friend with him he still had a much better time than he would have just sitting at home. And I also realized that he does have a LOT of friends that he gets to play with all the time. With my 4 days of work every week and nursery there is 5 out of the 7 that he is playing with friends. And he talks about them all all the time. This experience also made me so so so happy that I'm about to have a baby. My little guy needs a friend at home too. I have to admit I was very apprehensive about having another baby. Being a mom doesn't come naturally to me. I also made it harder on myself, the whole time I was pregnant with Hunter I was in denial to the fact that I was pregnant and things were going to change. I made plans with my boss but it just didn't hit me until I had Hunter and couldn't go to work anymore. I wanted nothing more than to go back to life the way I knew it. I love to work, and not to be conceited I think I'm good at it too. Being a mom, I'm not so good at that. I'm trying and I think I'm getting better. It took a long time for me to except my new life away from work. So agreeing to bring a new baby into this life that I have so struggled with was really hard for me. Ben had wanted to try for quite some time before we finally did try, and even when I finally agreed to trying I was still not so sure I was OK with it. Even the first several months of being pregnant I just didn't know what we were thinking, especially on days that I was having a rough time with Hunter. I just kept thinking why in the world did I agree to put another kid through my craziness. I have also never in my life been baby hunger, until the past month or so. Now I just want this baby to come so that I can hold and play with him or her. And I have even thought seriously about quitting my job all together, unfortunately I don't think that will happen for a while (we love house payments.) That trip to the park sealed the deal for me though. Seeing my son so alone (even though he didn't notice) just made me so happy that I had agreed to have another baby. I don't know what I would do without my siblings they have pulled me through way too many tough times than I can count. I am so happy I can give the joy of family to my son. He needs a friend and even though there will definitely be times that they aren't friends I know from my own experiences that that doesn't matter cuz the times they are are all that will matter in the end. This is way more open than I usually am but I felt it needed to be told. Maybe it's for me in the future when we decide if we will have more kids, or maybe its for someone that will read this, to help them decide if it's the right choice. I'm telling you (and myself) that it is, even though it's bound to be hard and the new baby will bring it's own set of challenges, it's worth it to never have to see him so alone again. I love my son so very much and can't imagine if I made him go through this life alone.
Well that was another huge post sorry! Here is my cute boy swinging at the park:

Our sweet sick Daddy's boy!

Poor Hunter has been quite sick this week, it hasn't been fun. He hardly ever gets sick so I never know what to do when he does. It all started Tuesday night... Tuesday morning he was fine he went to my sisters and got to go to the school and play for a while and then took his nap, then Ben went and picked him up and he was normal as could be. Then around the time I got home from work at like 6ish he started to tell us his tummy hurt. I figured it was probably cuz he hadn't eaten breakfast or lunch very well so we tried convincing him to eat but he wouldn't eat anything. We finally gave in and gave him some Tylenol (I very rarely take medicine at all so it always stresses me out to give him any, especially on an empty stomach.) It seemed like it did the job cuz about a half hour later we got him to eat a bowl of cereal. By then it was past his bedtime so we put him to bed right after. At midnight Ben and I were both still awake, Ben was in the living room and I was in our room which is right next to Hunter's room. Hunter wandered into our room whimpering, which is very unlike him, he wakes up and comes in our bed quite often in the middle of the night but it's usually around 4 so it was way earlier than what he usually does. When he came in the room he immediately asked where daddy was, so I picked him up and talked to him for a minute (many just so I could get a few minutes of snuggles before we found Ben cuz I knew he would go straight for Ben when we saw him.) I brought him to the living room and sat on the couch next to Ben, and of course Hunter instantly dove out of my arms and laid across Ben's lap, a few seconds (yes seconds) later her threw up all over Ben's lap. I never do well with throw up, it makes me gag even when I'm not pregnant so I wasn't doing so good. I stood up and was just trying to hold it together and finally Ben had to tell me to take Hunter to the bathroom so we could get him cleaned up. I took him in there and sat him on his stool and then took a towel back to Ben so he could clean himself up, then went back to Hunter to try to get him cleaned up. I was mostly just on his sleeve and a little on his pants so for the most part it was just on Ben and a little on the couch. I tried to get Hunter to let me take his jammies off but he wouldn't let me he wanted me to just wash it off. Finally when Ben came in the bathroom and took his clothes off and put them in the tub to get rinsed out Hunter finally let me take his clothes off too. While he was watching Ben take his clothes up he was distraught at the fact that he had gotten daddy's pants yucky, he kept saying, "Daddy pants ew cucky!" And it was all through little whimpers it was so sad to see him feeling so yucky and he was just concerned that he had gotten daddy's pants cucky, poor guy. After we got him cleaned up we got him back in bed and he went back to bed no problem. I even went to check on him a little later and he hadn't quite fallen asleep yet so he saw me peek in his room, he lifted his head and said "Mommy?" I walked in and he asked me to sing him a song, my rule with singing him songs to go to sleep is that he keeps his eyes closed cuz he usually is just wanting me in there to play a game of fluttering his eyes open and shut and seeing how long I will stay in there with him doing that. But I didn't even have to tell him to close his eyes he just shut them right after asking for the song, then when that song was done he opened them long enough to ask for another song then closed them again, by the end of that song he was asleep. Later that night I think around 4ish he woke up and came in our room, he laid right down but then went #2. And it was really runny diarrhea. We got his bum changed then we were all settled back down and he went again, that happened a couple more times, then finally we all went back to sleep for the rest of the night. The next day he was seeming a little better and I got him to eat a little bit so I kept my plans of going to get my glucose test done with my friend who is due a week before me. I think that went well, I was freaking out about it cuz I had never had to have it done with Hunter, so I didn't really know what to expect. And the nurse at my regular doctors office (the dr's office that I had Hunter with last time, he's a family doctor that also does OB) couldn't due the test there, which is the only place I have ever had my blood drawn, so I was really nervous to let someone else poke me. It ended up not being to bad and the orange drink wasn't as bad as I had heard, I didn't love it but it wasn't horrible. I haven't heard what my results were so I'm hoping that means they are good. No news is good news right? Anyways back to Hunter, I decided since he was still having diarrhea I wouldn't go to work and just stay home with him, I didn't want sickness getting spread anywhere either. He laid around most of the day but he did eat a little bit. He ended up taking a 4 hour nap, from 2 til 6, when I finally woke him up cuz I was worried he wouldn't sleep at night. Ben had a basketball game at 6:30 and wanted us to come, so we got ready and got Hunter to eat a little bit before we went, then right when we were headed out the door (Ben was carrying him) he looked at Ben and said his tummy hurt then threw up all over him. Poor Ben got it both times! This time quite a bit of it got on Hunter too, when we took his clothes off it got in his hair too, so I took him straight to the bath. He was distraught again and didn't want to get in the bath he wanted to go to basketball with dad. I finally got him convinced to get in the tub by telling him I would get in with him. Ben got cleaned up and went to basketball while we got in the tub. Hunter started acting normal in the tub, he was jumping and splashing not quite as much as usually but still quite a bit. Once we got out of the bath I laid him on our bed and was drying him off, he turned towards the rest of the house and started calling for Daddy. It was so sweet, like he was saying Daddy come find me. I had to break his heart and tell him that dad was at basketball, he was pretty sad that daddy would have gone without him. It was so sad and so sweet, luckily church basketball only lasts an hour so Ben was back shortly after. That night Hunter slept really good, but in the morning he still had diarrhea so we decided to still keep him home. He acted pretty good but I had always thought to wait like 24 hours since they last had symptoms before they were really OK. By the end of the day his was his normal self getting into EVERYTHING like usual, he still wasn't eating great, but it was way better than he had been. That night was horrible, it was like he was making up for the extra long naps he had taken, he ended up getting up at like midnight again and we couldn't get him to go back to sleep until like 2:30, Ben goes to work at 6:20. So we were both exhausted the next day, but Hunter was great! So Friday went back to normal with him going to my sister in laws house while I went to work, he even ended up eating 2 lunches, one at my house and when he got to her house he ended up eating even more! It was so cute when I told him to get his shoes after lunch, he was SO excited to be leaving the house! Saturday we took him to Petco and let him look at all the animals, then we got some lunch and ate it at a nearby park and let him play for a little bit. I think he was so excited to be out and about again! Then this morning he woke up with a little bit of a cough, I didn't think much of it cuz lately I have been waking up with a really dry throat so I thought it was just that. Then after he woke up from his nap he sounded pretty scratchy. He is still acting fine so hopefully this isn't developing into more sickness! He also ended up throwing up again this afternoon but we are pretty sure it was cuz he took to big of a bite and started to choke on it a little bit and ended up gagging himself into throwing up cuz he was fine before and after that happened. He tends to take too big of bites then gagging and spitting it out, so we are pretty positive that's all it was. The rest of the day his was his normal self with a scratchy voice, so hopefully he is all better! On Saturday he was even going around finding goofy things to do and having me take pictures of him! Here is one of them:
He has a bucket on his head. He found his cowboy hat later and wanted a picture of that but wouldn't hold still long enough. Then at lunch he was eating a string cheese and broke it into 2 pieces and held them by his cheeks and wanted a picture of that. He is very into having his picture taken lately it's so funny!
We went and picked out a baby outfit for in case we have a girl, we are still hoping for a boy but thought we better have at least one outfit in case we do end up with a girl! I thought this was so so cute! I guess Ben doesn't really like polka dots but other than that he liked it too. Now I just need to pull out my baby boy clothes and get some of those washed and ready!

I LOVE Holidays!

So I figured I would start out by telling a story...It's kind of embarrassing so that is why I'm starting out with...I'm hoping you will all forget about it by the time you get to the bottom of this post. It's just too funny not to remember though so I had to put it on here. Yesterday we ate cream of wheat for breakfast and Hunter gets pretty messy with it. He had been needing a hair cut for a while so I figured that worked perfect to cut it so that I wouldn't have to try to clean all the cream of wheat off him I could just throw him in the bath after we were done cutting his hair. He takes baths at night so I knew he wouldn't mind...it was a bonus bath! So I gave him a sucker to try to entertain him while I cut his hair and I told him he needed to keep it in his mouth so it wouldn't get hair on it. He did pretty good with that for the first little bit then of course took it out of his mouth and hair instantly clung to it. He kept trying to pull hair off it but since he had hair all over his hands it wasn't working, so he got mad and chucked it across the kitchen (he's been really bad about throwing lately.) I thought it was kind of funny but tried hard to keep from laughing. I washed the sucker off and had him open his mouth so I could just put it right in and reminded him to keep it in his mouth so it didn't get cucky again. I think he may have had some hair on his lips that went in with the sucker cuz it only stayed in for a few seconds this time and he only tried once to get hair off it before he threw it on the ground again! I was almost done so I just left it there til we were done and threw it away. Once I got done i took him into the bath and started the water and let him play for a min while I swept up the hair. Then I went into the bathroom, and I had told him when I started cutting his hair that when I was done we could take a shower together, so when I walked into the bathroom he looks at me and says, "Mommy tubby, shirt off. Shirt off." I of course start laughing cuz that one was too funny! So I go into my room (which is connected to the bathroom) and get undressed when I walk back into the bathroom he starts giggling and says, "Mommy naked." Yep, my 2 year old already knows that mommy looks funny naked, too bad he can't understand all those funny lines are from him! I am just starting to get 2 new stretch marks from this baby, they are really small right now and basically just connected on to the ones from Hunter. Oh well they are worth it!

So Christmas was really fun this year! Ben helped do the rounds at work so he got up at 6 and went to do those, he was expecting them to take about 2 hours at the most... They only took an hour. So when he got home at 7 he was all sorts of excited to wake us up. I was quite annoyed and said no cuz Hunter had been way ornery last year when we woke him up. So Ben agreed to wait another half hour. And of course since he had woken me up I couldn't go back to sleep so I gave up trying about 45 min later (Ben had started playing a game on his computer and lost track of time.) We went to wake Hunter up and we both got on either side of him and started saying his name...nothing. So we got a little louder...nothing. So we said "Santa came!"...nothing. So I shook his belly a little...he squinted at us and said "I seeping" and rolled over. Ben just picked him up then and asked him if he wanted to see what Santa brought, he kinda whimpered a ya. I told Ben to make him walk so that we knew he was actually awake...poor Hunter whimpered the whole way into the living room. But once he woke up a bit he had a great Christmas he was so excited everywhere we went! We started Christmas at our house, then went to Ben's parents and got to talk to his brother Jaron on his mission (coming home the beginning of February!), then went to Ben's grandparents for a little bit, then back to our house and met Ben's friend there for a few min, then loaded into the car and went to Kanab for Christmas lunch, we visited with lots of family there, and after that went to my Grandma Robinson's for a little bit then back home and to bed! It was a bit crazy and kind of rushed every where (we missed Ben's other brother Tyler's missionary call since we were in Kanab) but still a great Christmas! Our New Year's we decided to spend in Kanab since every visit lately has been very rushed. We went there Friday afternoon and stayed til Sunday night. We had a fun weekend just hanging out at the house and playing games! Holidays are so much fun! Here are some pics of all the fun:

Cream of wheat mustache! This was a few weeks ago, before he needed a haircut.

Our living room before Santa came, most of those presents are Hunters, he got spoiled!

Santa came!!

This was when he first went in the living room it took quite a bit of encouragement to get him to look at anything at first!

After he woke up he took a seat and pretty much stayed there the whole time we opened presents. Ben just kept handing him more and more, I had to encourage Ben to open his too! Hunter loves this new table and will sit and color at it pretty much every day!

Here his is lining up all his new cars...yes all those are from us and I don't think that's all of them, and he got some from family too! He LOVES cars!

Opening presents at Ben's parents. Hunter got a Zhu Zhu pet (and other stuff too) he plays with it all the time. He will even snuggle it every now and then!

All the grand kids (except Casey and Sophie, we miss you guys!) having fun opening there stockings, and later all their pillow pets. Hunter got a gorilla.

Playing with his M & M fan stocking stuffer. Now he likes to turn the fan on and lick it...so weird!

These are his PJ's from Ben's mom, the beanie and gloves are from Aunt Brandi. This was about a week are so after Christmas, I was in the bathroom and he came wandering in and had found his hat and gloves, put them on, then came and asked me to take a picture of him. I'm always up for pictures of him, but he would not smile! That's why his face is kind of fuzzy I kept telling him to say cheese and he would not, he just kept shaking his head no! What a goof, ask for your picture taken but refuse to smile!

Ready for Christmas!

I finally figured out the trick to getting my pictures to load on our computer... I have to load them one at a time... and for some reason the pics from my phone are pretty fast to load but the ones from my camera take about 10 times as long! What a pain!! Oh well, they are finally on here and hopefully I will keep on top of my posts so it won't always be tons of pics! We are ready for Christmas and so excited! We have only had one of the presents unwrapped... It's a pretty funny story so I thought I would share. Hunter has finally gotten to where he will for the most part leave me alone while I take a shower but he is always in the bathroom the instant the water turns off no matter what he is doing, (even if it was getting into the candy he will still come in and show me that he got some and act so surprised when I get after him for it.) So yesterday when he didn't come running in I knew something was up, so I got dressed quick and went looking for him. He was in the living room sitting on the coach watching a Thomas movie (which he had put in the Xbox and started himself...too smart) looking so innocent. And in the hallway right before the living room was a present fully unwrapped, it was one Ben's dad had us get for his mom so nothing Hunter would want, so I'm thinking when he opened it and it wasn't anything fun he decided that all those presents weren't worth messing with. He hasn't touched one since. The funniest part is that all of his presents are wrapped in Lightning McQueen wrapping paper, so I have no idea why he didn't open one of those ones! I guess that was the best thing he could do so that he will leave them alone. We have had most of the presents since November and just haven't wrapped and put them under the tree, I was worried he wouldn't leave them alone this year but he's been awesome!
We didn't really have any Christmas movies so Ben went and found a Christmas pack that has all the old traditional movies like, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and several others. Hunter loves Frosty! Almost every time we go in the living room he is asking to watch it! Well here are our most recent pics:
Today I was making dinner (grilled cheese sandwiches and soup) and apparently I was taking too long cuz Hunter decided to make himself a sandwich. We had a plate of treats our neighbors had brought us right next to the bread, he took some cookies off the plate and set them on his bread. He was pretty proud of his "cookie sandwich"

Helping mom make whip cream for a pudding pie a couple days ago.
He loved licking the beaters!

We love going to get Christmas trees, we go with Ben's family every year, it's so fun! Here is Hunter walking with Grandma in the snow. He really liked the snow!

Looking for trees with Daddy.

Playing in the snow while waiting for us to decide if a tree was good enough.

The whole crew still searching.

We went back to where we were parked and there was one tiny spot on the side of the road that instead of being covered in snow was covered in mud and of course Hunter went and laid in it and slid down it. His pants were covered in mud and the whole bottom half of his coat too, the stuff on his face is chocolate cookie not mud. A few minutes later he was quite ornery cuz he was so cold, and it was lunch time and close to nap time. We figured he would get wet so we brought extra clothes, but I had him warm up in the jeep while he ate his lunch so he wouldn't try going out to play and get the second set of clothes all wet too.

He loves all the Christmas lights, or "ikes" as he calls them. While we drive anywhere he is always yelling about all the lights it's so cute! He thought our tree was pretty cool, like the Chipmunks tree (he loves Alvin and the Chipmunks.)

He was loving helping putting decorations on the tree... He just wanted to put them all in the same spot! Ben moved them after he went to bed and in the morning Hunter noticed and started pulling other ornaments off to put back at this spot! He also got an ornament in nursery (which I got released from 3 weeks ago) and it of course went in the same spot!

The finished tree.

Eating an ice cream cone at Grandma and Grandpa's house on Grandpa's birthday. The picture is kind of small of Hunter but he has his nose clear inside the cone.

Now you can tell! Oh and the reason he has no shirt is cuz I had thought he was playing with his cousins til one of them came and told me where he was...playing in the toilet! You would think he would be over that by now! He knows how to go potty on the toilet and he knows that it's yucky cuz every time he goes #2 he always looks in there and yells "Ew cuck!" And no he isn't potty trained, we even tried the 3 day potty training thing for 4 days straight but it wasn't working so we put him in pull ups and kept working with him but now we have pretty much given up. We still have him go potty before he takes his baths every night and he will occasionally ask to go but my dreams of not having 2 kids in diapers aren't coming true so we figured to just let him do it more when he is more interested in it.

Joslyn had her cute baby boy. He is #3 for her and I think he looks a lot like his older brothers!

This is what I came out of the shower to a couple weeks ago...he pulled every single book off my book shelf! I was SO frustrated, for any of you that know me I am a spaz about my books and they are all in there certain spots, so I had to reorganize them while he kept stepping on all them trying to help. He's a turkey.

We were at Wal-mart a few weeks ago getting a couple presents... Me and Ben were looking at a possible present in the sporting goods section and I turned to see what Hunter was doing, his back was to me but I could tell that he had something in his hands. So I asked him what he had and started walking towards him and I heard the shhhp of a spray can, and instantly after Hunter screaming and the crash as he chucked the can of bug repellent on the floor. He had sprayed himself in the eye with it! I picked him up and rushed him to the bathroom while Ben found the pieces of the can (the top had popped off when Hunter threw it) and put it back together. I rinsed his eye out really good and then he was just fine. It is so funny to me know though that I can't tell the story, let alone think of it with out laughing (yes I've been laughing the whole time I've been typing.)

The above picture looked so horrible cuz he was half blinking because of the flash from the camera, but I think it is so funny so I always show that picture first to see peoples shocked reactions, then show them the pics where you can tell his eye isn't swollen shut just red and blotchy.

I think he was getting sick of me taking pictures of his eye. I have tons of them!

This is him the next morning, see all the red is gone! Oh and the little cut and black eye happened the day before the bug spray, his cousin hit him in the eye with a toy. That poor eye got beat up 2 days in a row!

Thanksgiving just isn't Thanksgiving without olives on your fingers! This is my only pic from Thanksgiving, and we even ended up having to Thanksgiving dinners! We ate at Ben's grandma's house with his family on Thanksgiving and went to Kanab and ate at my parents on Saturday! We lucked out this year to get to spend it with both families!
I thought I would leave you with this pic. I love it! I have no idea why he pulled this face he knew he had hair all over him (I had just cut his hair, and as you can tell by the undies this was while we were trying to potty train.) He's so funny!

Summer Update Finally!

I finally ended up loading our pictures onto Ben's computer so that I could get these pics on here... There are a TON of them! I have a horrible memory so I've decided I need to keep this up to date so that I can remember what we do. So here is our fun and busy summer from most recent to oldest:
I went to check on Hunter before I went to sleep a few weeks ago and this is how I found him, there are clothes, toys, and even some books underneath him!
Hunter loved riding with Ben moving these boulders, he rode with him for a few hours and still wanted to ride more!

We all went to my mom's for my dad's birthday and she gave huge pieces to everyone, including Talee and Hunter. The older kids ended up going to the park by my mom's and left their unfinished pieces at her house... I think Talee and Hunter really liked them leaving them, they were out there tasting all of them!
Here is after Trick or Treating, Hunter's face paint was all over his hands and sleeves.

Dad and Hunter devil's.

Me as a Devil.

Carving pumpkins, we had to do quick designs cuz we did them right before we went trick or treating.

Hunter helping dad carve his pumpkin, it took him a while before we could get him to try to get the seeds out, and when he finally did he said eww and flipped seeds everywhere, funny boy!

We went camping and fishing, and the only thing we caught was a crawdad.

Eating breakfast of poptarts while fishing!

Taking Tyler to the MTC, he is now in Nicaragua!

We finally took Hunter to Toquerville falls, we used to go all the time and we haven't been since we had Hunter. He loved it! This pic he was standing on the rock forever and hardly moving, it took us a while to figure out what he was doing, but it was barely moving so he was wobbling it back and forth and we think he was scared to get of it or something, it was pretty funny!

The fam at the bottom of the falls, Hunter fell asleep on the way home even though the ride was pretty bumpy!

Sitting in a waterfall.

Taller than mom and dad, Yay!

After eating his birthday cake, "Cheese!"

Trying to blow out the candles by waving his hand. He loved his Lightning Mcqueen cake! It was pretty fun to make too, I used my entire bottle of red dye and in person the icing still didn't look that red!

His new bike! He loves it, it took him a couple months but he can pettle now!

My new "hat!" He wears it around the house all the time too!

He liked unwrapping things this year, so fun!

Playing with balloons, waiting for dad to get home so he could open the presents.

The Washington County Fair, Hunter loved the rides! Especially the cars the went fast! There were a couple of the rides that he would not get off, he wouldn't even follow his cousins off he wanted to ride more!
This one went up in the air too. When the ride stopped Logan (Hunter's cousin sitting in the back) jumped right out, apparently his belt wasn't tight enough to hold him in. SCARY!!

Riding the carousel with dad!

Playing in the rainy whether in Alton for Grandpa Crosby's birthday!

Talee and Hunter playing basketball! Or just throwing the balls to see them splash!

This boy LOVES corn!!

Geting candy at Toquerville's 24th of July parade!

Moving up to a toddler bed! We also took the binki away a couple weeks after this, it's weird to see him with one since it's been so long since we took it away.

Trying to play an arcade game, on tippy toes!

Playing at Grandma and Grandpa's in Kanab!

Playing with Ben's coworkers daughter at Sand Hollow. They were so funny together, they kept throwing mud on each other, and Hunter would show off and jump in the water and wait for her to follow his lead!
He wouldn't stop laying in the water even though the waves pretty much covered him!

We had a lot of this over the summer, he went through a faze where he would not leave his diaper on! Don't worry that's drool!

So cool with his sunglasses (or eyes as he calls them) and building his block towers!

Playing at the cabin in Delta. He was collecting rolly pollies (I think some people call them potato bugs) in this bucket.
Hunter's first ride on a tube, he didn't have much of a reaction.

This is how they started out, you could barely see Hunter!
This is the slide right off the sandy area, it's not really connected so it kept wobbling everywhere but he still liked it!

Ben's uncle has a couple dogs that he brings with him every year. Luckily they are good with kids cuz Hunter would not leave them alone!

Hunter decided to try to copy Brylee and climb the pole... He ended up looking more like a pole dancer! It was pretty funny!

Us trying to get him to take a nap in our tent that was next to the cabin. I think this is where he figured out how to climb out of his porta crib! He was being very wild but so funny I couldn't help but laugh and take pics!

We go to Delta's 4th of July demolition derby every year. This year they had 2 cars painted like Lightning Mcqueen! Hunter loved it! the other one was painted like the regular red Mcqueen but I didn't get a good pic of it. They were also in the parade since they were some of the best painted. Hunter tried to chase after them when they went by in the parade!

He thought he was pretty cool with his backpack on! He had all our stuff in it, water bottle, sunscreen, etc., but he still wanted it on. After a while he had us carry it for him.

The Ewell family at the parade.
We went camping to Fish Lake with my family and Hunter caught his 1st fish! It was even on his Lightning Mcqueen pole! Yes I know I go a little overboard with all the Cars stuff but he LOVES it! Wait til my Christmas pics...

He got into mom's hair stuff, I use barely a finger tip amount of this stuff to tame my fly aways.

I think he used a few handfuls of it!

Playing in the leaks from our hose while dad was trying to wash the Jeep.

Trying to help wash the Jeep before he got too interested in playing in the water!
